A refreshing and vibrant Strawberry Lemonade recipe combining fresh strawberries, zesty lemonade, and optional basil for a delightful summer beverage that’s easy to prepare in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Strawberry Lemonade Ingredients

  • 10 cups lemonade (or 12 oz can frozen lemonade, thawed)
  • 1/2 lb strawberries (washed and hulled)
  • 1 lemon (sliced for garnish)
  • 6 fresh basil leaves (a small handful, lightly packed, optional)
  • Ice (as needed to serve)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Lemonade: Pour the lemonade into a large pitcher. Set aside 4 strawberries to slice for garnish if desired, then cut the remaining strawberries in half.
  2. Blend Strawberries and Basil: In a blender or food processor, combine the halved strawberries and basil leaves (if using). Process until smooth to create a fresh strawberry-basil puree.
  3. Combine and Serve: Stir the strawberry puree, the remaining sliced strawberries, and lemon slices into the pitcher of lemonade. Serve immediately over glasses filled with ice for a cool, refreshing drink.

Notes

  • For a sweeter lemonade, add a touch of honey or sugar when blending the strawberries.
  • Basil is optional but adds a lovely aromatic flavor to the lemonade.
  • If frozen lemonade is not available, freshly squeezed lemon juice with simple syrup can be used as a substitute.
  • Adjust the amount of ice depending on how chilled you want the beverage.
  • Strawberries can be substituted with raspberries or other berries for variation.
