Ingredients

Dip Base

  • 1 block (8 oz) softened cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Whipped Cream

  • 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups homemade whipped cream (prepared from above ingredients)

Toppings & Dippers

  • Peanut butter cups
  • Chocolate chips
  • Reese's Pieces
  • Oreo thins
  • Vanilla wafers
  • Graham crackers
  • Ritz crackers
  • Nutter Butter cookies
  • Apple slices

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a large bowl, use a hand mixer to blend the softened cream cheese and dark brown sugar until the mixture is smooth and creamy without lumps.
  2. Add Peanut Butter and Vanilla: Mix in the peanut butter and vanilla extract thoroughly, ensuring the texture thickens slightly and is well combined.
  3. Make Homemade Whipped Cream: In a chilled bowl, whip the cold heavy whipping cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form to create homemade whipped cream, approximately 3-5 minutes on medium-high speed.
  4. Fold in Whipped Cream: Gently fold the homemade whipped cream into the peanut butter cream cheese mixture in increments to keep the mixture light and airy, using a silicone spatula and careful folding motions to avoid deflating the whipped cream.
  5. Chill and Serve: Transfer the dip into a serving bowl and decorate the top with peanut butter cups, chocolate chips, and Reese's Pieces. Refrigerate the dip for at least 1-2 hours to allow it to set and chill properly.
  6. Present with Dippers: Serve the dip chilled accompanied by an assortment of dippers such as Oreo thins, vanilla wafers, graham crackers, Ritz crackers, Nutter Butter cookies, and fresh apple slices.

Notes

  • For convenience, store-bought Cool Whip can be used as a substitute for homemade whipped cream.
  • Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps in the dip.
  • Refrigerate the dip for at least 1-2 hours to enhance flavor and texture before serving.
  • Variations include adding a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness if using natural peanut butter.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
