This Maple Pecan Granola is a crunchy, naturally sweetened breakfast or snack option made with wholesome oats, crunchy pecans, and pure maple syrup. Perfectly baked to golden perfection, it makes a nutritious and delicious choice for topping yogurt, enjoying with milk, or snacking on its own.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 3 cups whole oats
  • 1 cup shelled pecans
  • ½ tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add the whole oats, shelled pecans, maple syrup, olive oil, and salt into a large mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly to ensure all dry ingredients are evenly coated with the wet ingredients.
  2. Spread on Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, then spread the granola mixture evenly in a single layer to ensure even baking.
  3. Bake the Granola: Place the baking sheet in a preheated oven at 350°F (177°C) and bake the granola for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring once halfway through to promote even toasting.
  4. Cool the Granola: Remove the granola from the oven and let it cool completely on the baking sheet for about 30 minutes. Cooling will allow it to crisp up beautifully before serving or storing.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, you can toast the pecans separately before mixing.
  • Store cooled granola in an airtight container to maintain freshness and crunch.
  • Feel free to add dried fruits like cranberries or raisins after baking for added texture and flavor.
  • Stir the granola halfway through baking to ensure even browning and prevent burning.
