Perfectly garnished with fresh herbs and chilled to meld the flavors, it’s an ideal dish for parties or casual gatherings served alongside pita chips or fresh veggies.

Ingredients

Base Layers

  • 8 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • 10 ounces hummus

Toppings

  • 1 cup cucumber (diced)
  • 1 cup tomatoes (diced, seeds removed)
  • ½ cup Kalamata olives (pitted & diced)
  • 4 ounces feta cheese (crumbled, ½ cup)
  • ¼ cup green onions (sliced)

Garnish (Optional)

  • 2 Tablespoons parsley or dill

Instructions

  1. Prepare Cream Cheese Mixture: Place the cream cheese into a mixing bowl or the container of a standing mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Add the lemon juice, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and sea salt. Beat the mixture until it is evenly combined and smooth.
  2. Spread Base Layers: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly across the bottom of a glass pie dish or a serving bowl, creating a smooth base layer.
  3. Add Hummus Layer: Evenly spread the hummus over the cream cheese layer, forming the second layer of the dip.
  4. Top with Vegetables and Cheese: Arrange the diced cucumber, diced tomatoes (with seeds removed), pitted and diced Kalamata olives, crumbled feta cheese, and sliced green onions evenly over the hummus layer, creating vibrant and flavorful toppings.
  5. Garnish with Herbs: Sprinkle fresh parsley or dill over the top as an optional garnish to enhance flavor and presentation.
  6. Chill the Dip: Place the layered dip in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the layers to set.
  7. Serve: Serve the chilled dip with pita chips, cut vegetables, or your favorite dippers for a delicious appetizer or snack.

Notes

  • Allowing the dip to chill sufficiently improves flavor blending and makes it easier to serve.
  • Removing tomato seeds helps prevent excess moisture and keeps the dip fresh.
  • Use room temperature cream cheese to ensure easy mixing and smooth texture.
  • Feel free to substitute fresh herbs like dill or parsley based on preference.
  • Perfect for parties, potlucks, or casual gatherings as a shareable appetizer.
