Ready in just 15 minutes, it's an easy, delicious way to enjoy Southwestern flavors in a handheld wrap.

Ingredients

Sauce

  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup salsa
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons taco seasoning

Wrap Fillings

  • 4 large tortillas (wrap size)
  • 1 1/3 cups shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup tomato, diced
  • 1 whole avocado, diced
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup Fritos, crushed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce: In a bowl, combine the sour cream, salsa, and taco seasoning. Mix until well blended to create a flavorful Southwestern sauce.
  2. Lay out the tortilla: Place a large tortilla flat on a cutting board. Spread 1 heaping tablespoon of the prepared sauce over the bottom half of the tortilla, leaving a 1-inch border along each side to prevent overflow when rolling.
  3. Add the fillings: Evenly distribute about 1/3 cup of shredded lettuce, 2 tablespoons of diced tomato, one-quarter of the diced avocado, 2 tablespoons of shredded cheddar cheese, and half a cup of shredded cooked chicken on top of the sauce. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of crushed Fritos over the chicken to add a satisfying crunch. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of the sauce over the top of the fillings to enhance flavor.
  4. Roll the wrap: Fold the sides of the tortilla inward and roll tightly from the bottom to encase all the fillings securely. Repeat this process with the remaining tortillas and ingredients.
  5. Serve: Cut each wrap in half diagonally and serve immediately for best texture and flavor.

Notes

  • Use cooked chicken such as rotisserie or grilled chicken for convenience.
  • Feel free to substitute Fritos with another crunchy chip if preferred.
  • To keep the wrap intact, avoid overfilling and ensure proper folding technique.
  • For a spicier kick, add jalapeños or hot sauce to the sauce mixture.
  • Wraps can be prepared ahead but are best enjoyed fresh to maintain the crunchiness of the Fritos.
