Ingredients

Oreo Crust

  • 36 regular Oreos
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted

Cream Cheese Layer

  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cold milk
  • 1 cup Cool Whip

Chocolate Pudding Layer

  • 2 (3.9-ounce) packages dry chocolate instant pudding mix
  • 3 1/4 cups cold milk

Topping

  • Remaining 5 cups Cool Whip (from 12 ounces divided)
  • Mini chocolate chips, optional
  • Crushed Oreos, optional

Instructions

  1. Oreo Crust: In a food processor or blender, blend whole Oreos into fine crumbs. Add the melted butter and mix thoroughly until well combined. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9x13-inch dish. Place the crust in the freezer or refrigerator for 5 minutes to firm up.
  2. Cream Cheese Layer: Using an electric mixer, whip the softened cream cheese in a medium bowl until fluffy. Add the sugar and cold milk, mixing until combined. Stir in 1 cup of Cool Whip and spread this mixture lightly over the chilled Oreo crust. Return the dish to the freezer or fridge for 5 to 10 minutes to set.
  3. Chocolate Pudding Layer: In a separate bowl, whisk together the dry chocolate pudding mixes with 3 1/4 cups of cold milk until the mixture thickens. Once thickened, spread the pudding evenly over the cream cheese layer. Chill in the refrigerator for another 5 to 10 minutes to allow the pudding to set firmly.
  4. Topping: Spread the remaining Cool Whip over the set pudding layer. Sprinkle with mini chocolate chips or crushed Oreos if desired for extra texture and decoration. Refrigerate the assembled lasagna for 2 to 3 hours before serving to allow all the layers to fully chill and meld together.
  5. Serve: Slice the dessert into 24 portions and serve chilled. Enjoy the creamy, chocolatey layers with the crunchy Oreo crust and delightful toppings.

Notes

  • For best results, ensure the cream cheese is softened to avoid lumps in the cream cheese layer.
  • You can substitute Cool Whip with homemade whipped cream if preferred.
  • Allowing the dessert to chill for the full 2 to 3 hours enhances the flavors and texture.
  • Optional toppings like mini chocolate chips or crushed Oreos add an extra crunch and flavor dimension.
  • Use a sharp knife warmed in hot water for clean slices.
