Light and fluffy air fryer donuts made from canned biscuit dough, quickly cooked to golden perfection and topped with a sweet powdered sugar glaze. Perfect for a quick treat or breakfast, these donuts are easy to prepare and ready in just 12 minutes.

Ingredients

Donuts

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (homestyle or flaky)

Glaze

  • ⅓ cup powdered sugar (confectioner's sugar)
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough and separate the individual biscuits. Lay them out on a clean surface or cutting board to work on shaping.
  2. Create Donut Shapes: Using a small round cookie cutter or the back of a pastry tip, cut out the centers of each biscuit to form the classic donut shape with a hole in the middle.
  3. Arrange in Air Fryer: Carefully place the shaped donuts into the air fryer basket without letting them touch. Depending on your air fryer’s size, you may need to cook them in batches to avoid crowding.
  4. Air Fry Donuts: Preheat or set the air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Air fry the donuts for 6-7 minutes, flipping them about two-thirds of the way through cooking so both sides become golden brown and puffed.
  5. Make the Glaze: While the donuts cook, whisk together the powdered sugar and 1-2 tablespoons of milk until smooth and slightly runny.
  6. Glaze the Donuts: Once the donuts are cool enough to handle, dip the top of each donut into the glaze. Place the glazed donuts on a cooling rack to allow excess glaze to drip off and set.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer; cook in batches if necessary to ensure even cooking.
  • Adjust milk quantity in the glaze to achieve desired consistency—thicker glaze will coat better, thinner glaze will drip more.
  • Use a small cutter for holes; if you don’t have one, the back of a piping tip works well.
  • Serve donuts fresh for best texture as they are best eaten the same day.
  • Optional: add cinnamon or vanilla extract to the glaze for extra flavor.
