Ingredients
Sandwich Ingredients
2 slices sourdough bread
2 tablespoons salted butter
¼ ounce brie cheese
2 tablespoons honey
½ large green apple
1 handful fresh rosemary for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Butter Bread: Generously spread butter on one side of each slice of bread, then flip the slices so the buttered sides are facing down.
Brie: Remove the rind from the brie cheese and spread it evenly across the unbuttered side of one slice of bread.
Honey: Drizzle and spread honey uniformly over the brie layer.
Apple: Core the green apple and thinly slice half of it, then lay the slices evenly on top of the honey-covered brie.
Sandwich Assembly: Place the second slice of bread on top, ensuring the buttered side is facing up.
Fry Sandwich: Heat a frying pan with a lid over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the pan and cover. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom slice is golden brown.
Flip: Remove the lid, carefully flip the sandwich, replace the lid, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the other side is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
Garnish and Serve: Slice the sandwich in half, garnish with fresh rosemary if desired, and serve hot for best flavor.
Notes
Remove the rind from the brie for a smoother melt and better texture.
Use a lid while grilling to help the cheese melt evenly and prevent burning.
Replace green apple with another crisp apple variety if preferred.
Butter the bread generously to achieve a golden, crispy crust.
Enjoy immediately after cooking for the best melted cheese experience.
